🌾. April 8th

This year, the biblical new year begins on April 8, 2024. This is the start of the month of Nisan on the Hebrew calendar 🌑🌒. “Rosh Chodesh Nisan began on Monday, 8 April 2024 and ended on Tuesday, 9 April 2024.” (Hebcal.com)

Nisan in Hebrew means miracle; first fruits; first month of spring.

In the Bible, in Ezra 7:8-10, we see Ezra leaving Babylon for Jerusalem on April 8, the first day of the new year. This is noteworthy because in 2024 the first day of the new year also falls on April 8th. This tracks with the seasons we’re in. Seasons of spiritual and religious embracing, motivation, and momentum. And with the momentum of the continual change of seasons, we build on these God centered cycles of experiences which are moving us toward Him.

In this new year, think about the relationships to people, places, and things in your life that are in need of resolution. The areas in your life that are in need of a firm decision for something to be done because they are bound to symbols, structures, or systems archetypically representing Babylon, where Babylon is a place representing the things that are the enemies of God.

When my mother introduced me to Dr. Stanley’s sermons over 20 years ago I never stopped listening. His delivery of the Word of God to my soul was too impactful to deny. Charles Stanley has such a special gift from God for teaching and exhortation in the most sincere way with a gentle spirit and boldness. I have always admired the humility in which his sermons shined through with messages that always resonated powerfully straight to the heart. He has been a keen servant and faithful steward handling the word of truth. He has expounded on critical and simple life lessons in my walk as a believer that I carry to this day.

May we all be an inspiration in such a way with meekness and humbleness of heart, and with honor, power, steadfastness, and bravery that comes from the unending love of God.
