Happy day 12 of the Daniel Fast everyone. 🫐🍎🍇🍌🥦🥬🥑🍠🥔

We are past the halfway point of completing the 21 Day Daniel fast.  It’s around this time that my desire for coffee starts to loom.  Coffee/tea/caffeinated beverage drinkers hang in there. We all have those foods that are on the “abstain list” that we can’t wait to go back to.  Some foods being more unhealthy than others.  Hopefully we all know their place and sometimes everything in moderation is the most realistic scenario. 

We are taught to persevere in all areas of life. This is how we achieve great things.  However, sometimes we may fail to realize that it is God working through us that causes us to persevere through difficulty or discouragement to achieve these great things.  We persevere through adversity with divine guidance and mercy, maneuvering through obstacles, temptations, struggles and taking the next right step or wrong step and learning from our mistakes.  When we persevere in our own strength and discount God’s divine hand in our lives we lose steam and hope and fall into discouragement. 

A Reminder: We will continue to face challenges in all areas of life. But God is with us.  We were led by the Holy Spirit into fasting in this season.  And answered the call in agreement with God's guidance. It may not be perfect but God’s will is perfect and He will continue to guide us into the next right thing to do. And we will continue to persevere because that is His will for us in all things.

“I know how to be brought low, and I know how to abound. In any and every circumstance, I have learned the secret of facing plenty and hunger, abundance and need. I can do all things through him who strengthens me.” Philippians 4:12-13 ESV
