Day 3 reminder: Filling foods

I pray everyone is getting comfortable with the Daniel Fast diet and is getting into the rhythm and flow of activity that is abstaining, devotion, gratitude, prayer, & worship which is involved in the Daniel Fast. And I pray you are enjoying this refreshing focus on God in this process.  Although It’s not easy because there are many distractions in the world, I pray you will keep going. 

A Reminder: Make sure to include filling foods on your Daniel Fast. These are foods that make you feel full and satisfied and keep hunger at bay.  The fruits, vegetables, legumes, whole grains, nuts and seeds that we consume on the Daniel Fast are satiating foods but some foods will help ward off hunger more than others.

Some of the more filling foods include:

Potatoes, Oatmeal, Quinoa, Almonds, Peanuts, Walnuts, Soybeans, Lentils, Bokchoy, Collard greens, Kale, Spinach, Cabbage, Mushrooms, Brussels sprouts, Okra, Artichokes, Beets, Broccoli, Asparagus, Cauliflower, Avocado, Apples, Bananas, Dates, Popcorn, Chia seeds, Flax seeds, Pumpkin seeds
