“Let us think of ways to motivate one another to acts of love and good works.” Hebrews 10:24 NLT
Happy day 9 of the Daniel Fast everyone. 🫐🍎🍇🍌🥦🥬🥑🍠🥔
Paul, in his letter to the church in Corinth says he does not run aimlessly the race of life as a believer in service to Christ, but he runs with purpose to win. Comparing life to a race that every believer should participate in with effort, Paul reminds us that we run the race not to receive a perishable prize but a prize that is imperishable and eternal.
A Reminder: Every step that we take on our path to grow closer to God through Jesus Christ is one that is destined for more and more joy as we set out to win our God given race. We each have a race that is set before us and God and His heavenly hosts are, in essence, cheering us along as we traverse mountains and valleys, and obstacles of all kinds. With our focus on Jesus, and a life that is entrusted to Him for the promise of salvation, we press on towards the goal set before us.
Our prayer, devotion, and continued relationship with our Heavenly Father through good times and bad is our practice and our training for wining our race of faithfulness.
“Do you not know that in a race all the runners run, but only one receives the prize? So run that you may obtain it. Every athlete exercises self-control in all things. They do it to receive a perishable wreath, but we an imperishable. So I do not run aimlessly; I do not box as one beating the air. But I discipline my body and keep it under control, lest after preaching to others I myself should be disqualified.” 1 Corinthians 9:24-27 ESV
“Therefore, since we are surrounded by so great a cloud of witnesses, let us also lay aside every weight, and sin which clings so closely, and let us run with endurance the race that is set before us, looking to Jesus, the founder and perfecter of our faith, who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is seated at the right hand of the throne of God. Consider him who endured from sinners such hostility against himself, so that you may not grow weary or fainthearted. Hebrews 12:1-3 ESV
Happy day 9 everyone. Stay strengthened in Jesus name! God bless . ❤️🙏
